Padraig Rushe
Padraig worked with Bank of Ireland from 1973 to 2015 when he retired as Director Corporate Banking.

Padraig’s lending career commenced as a credit analyst in the Corporate Banking sector and since then he has worked in a variety of corporate and commercial sector roles in Ireland and USA. Since the early 1990’s he has managed the Bank’s IFSC facing business and has been actively involved in developing relationships with and providing various credit facilities to the Financial Services and Multinational Corporate sectors. Throughout his career he has been actively involved in providing credit support to a wide variety of businesses including large Corporate, Multinationals, Financial Services, Semi-States and other indigenous companies in Ireland.

He has developed credit solutions for a variety of companies in Ireland and internationally and is knowledgeable in both the regulated and non-regulated sectors. He has collaborated with colleagues in the development of sector lending policies and with external consultants in formalising a ‘best in class’ credit application process within Corporate Banking.

Since his retirement he has delivered a credit training programme in Ireland on non-bank finance and has also conducted a Financial Services training program for Government agencies in Botswana.

Padraig is chair of the International Finance Forum at FSI (Financial Services Ireland), which coordinates strategic business issues within the IFSC community in Ireland. He is also a board member of 2 start-up SME companies and Chair of an IFSC based Charity.
